They are the perfect tool for making quick and tasty summer snacks. What’s even better is that it’s easy to do, as long as you know which ingredients to use. So we’ve gone ahead and compiled a few of our favourite salsa recipes that put your processor to work.
Directions: Add cilantro, jalapeno, onion, grapes and mango into a manual food processor (best when done in this order). Pump until desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Squeeze lime on mixed ingredients. This salsa can be prepared up to 6 hours ahead of serving. Cover and leave to chill until ready to serve.
Directions: Cut jalapeno into thirds and cut onion into quarters. Add jalapeno, onion, cilantro, lemon juice and salt into manual food processor. Pump until coarsely chopped. Add half of the tomatoes and pump until coarsely chopped. Add the remaining tomatoes and pump until desired consistency. Cover and leave to chill until ready to serve.
Directions: Cut onion and tomatoes into quarters. Add onion, garlic clove and jalapeno pepper into a manual food processor until finely minced. Add tomatoes, cilantro, cumin, lime juice, salt and pepper. Pumped until desired consistency. Add hot sauce if desired. Cover and leave to chill until ready to serve. Not only are food processors great for making salsa but they are also beneficial for other kitchen tasks. This includes; shredding large amounts of food such as nuts, cheese, chicken or veggies, or for making homemade dips, sauces and nut butter. Enjoy!
